Obama wants to know “Whose ass to kick”
In the midst of the tea party debates and thin red line that Republicans are drawing in the sand, Obama once again proves that class and sophistication are not his strong suit as in the foulest language yet heard from the president he inquires to NBC News, “We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answer so I know whose ass to kick.”
Nice.
Even though Mr. Obama has been to the Gulf a whooping three times since April 20, Republicans and Americans alike are whispering (and shouting) that he has be painfully slow to lead the country and the situation to an acceptable state. When you look at it he has done nothing but insist that BP should pay the compensation.
BP announces their second quarter results and the dividend in 14 days. Though they are under massive political and environmental pressure to suspend payments – which come to a total of $10.5 billion a year. US senators are insisting it should not pay out to the shareholders until the complete total is known for the costs of clearing up the spill, which right now seems to be rather unending.
Surely however it should be the president insisting this, or maybe he is still waiting to see ‘whose ass to kick”. Regardless, the whole situation seems to loom around the market price of red diesel, the costs that BP should be paying to the residents and those who live around the Gulf of Mexico and a big ol’ political palaver. It just makes me a bit sad that the environment and the animals who die everyday because of humans stupidity is always the last thing to be counted in these situations.
